What does the future hold for the Walt Disney Company,

Walt Disney would say, “We are just getting started.”

Ant-Man 2 will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp and is slated for July 6th 2018.

The next Avengers movie will be in two parts Avengers: Infiniti War will no longer be a two part movie, rather it will be Avengers: Infiniti War released May 4th 2018 and as of now an untitled Avengers movie released May 3rd 2019.

In the meantime Marvel has released a simple production trailer.

Disney has announced many details about the brand new live action Beauty and the Beast that will be premiering in 2017.  Along with the return of Alan Menken and Tim Rice, it will have Emma Watson playing Belle, with Dan Stevens playing the Prince/Beast, Luke Evans the role of Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Kevin Kline as Maurice Belle’s father.

Marvel has plans to create and release an adaptation of Black Panther on February 16th 2018.  Though the character will be made his first appearance in Captain America Civil War.  I like this character and am looking forward to seeing more of this character.

Captain Marvel will also be getting her own movie to come out March 8th 2019.  Despite what the graphic says below.

Pixar is also under development for a brand new Cars, Cars 3. This is scheduled to be released June 16th 2017.

Another animated movie is in the works for Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers.

Pixar is working on another animated movie called Coco that is slated to be released November 22nd 2017.

At the last Shareholders Meeting Bog Iger announced that two new ships would be coming to the fleet of Disney Cruise Line in 2021 and 2023. As of yet, they have no official name, so I refer to them as Five & Six.

Due to it’s immense popularity, a second Descendants is in the works for Disney Channel.

The classic 90’s cartoon Ducktales is in production.  This will come to Disney X D.

Disney also has plans for a live action Dumbo.

Construction is nearly done for the Explorer’s Lodge, the third hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland to open this year.  As you can now go on the website and see details.

Gigantic release date has been pushed back.

The Tower Hotel of California Adventure continues it’s transformation into Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.  Opening date is slated for May 27th.

Disney is still working on it’s remake of The Haunted Mansion.

Pixar is working on a sequel to Incredibles, Incredibles 2 is underway and release date has changed for June 15th 2018.

A fifth Indiana Jones will be coming out in 2019.  It reunite Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg. Not much more is known about the story.  We will talk about the next Indiana Jones later, but for now we can only speculate.

A live action version of The Little Mermaid is in the works.

Disney recently announced that they are bringing back for Disney Junior the popular 80’s cartoon Muppet Babies back.  I don’t have kids at all, but I still want to watch that show.

Disneyland is currently working on Star Wars Land Construction, but Disney will be returning the Rivers of America in their shortened state next year, this will include the Disneyland Railroad, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes and Tom Sawyer’s Island.  Also it will mean the return of Fantasmic.

Star Wars Episode VII The Last Jedi is slated for a December 2017 release this year.

Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX are a couple of years away, with the 8th episode planned for a release on December of 2017.

Disney announced Star Wars land, and people have had an explosion of joy over the new concepts, here is a look at the many new and wonderful concepts coming.  It will be coming in the year 2019.

Tokyo Disneyland is getting a remodel to Fantasyland.

Also announced was a Beauty and the Beast ride.

Not to mention there will also be coming a Big Hero 6 flatland or carnival Type attraction.

Tokyo DisneySea is adding a new port that will be Scandinavian themed.

Tokyo DisneySea is now transforming the StormRider attraction into a Finding Nemo ride.

They have announced Toy Story 4 will be under work. It will come out June 15th 2018.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, construction is underway for Toy Story Land that will be coming sometime in the future.

Definitely a subject of great, well technically controversy, but really it is mostly Disney versus the public, with transforming The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction at California Adventure into Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Escape.  Last day to ride the tower will be January 2nd 2017.

Another princess is coming and her name is Moana.  Disney’s next animated princess will be from Polynesia and will come out November 23rd 2016.

I apologize for missing my last two dates, I have been a little under the weather, but am feeling better.  Again, sorry for the delay.

The sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland: Alice through the Looking Glass that is to be released May 27th 2016 for the Memorial Day crowd.

Disney Springs continues on with finishing it’s transformation that will end this year.  Recently on May 15th they opened the Town center, there are still other things to be opened in the area, but most of the walkways and lands of Disney Springs are now open.

In the spirit of remaking Pete’s Dragon is also getting remade starring Bryce Dallas Howard.  It isn’t a musical.  It is set for August 16th 2016.

At Epcot, guests will soon be able to experience even more Soarin’.  They will be building additional theaters that will premiere June 17th.

Speaking of Soarin’ the film will be replaced as we soar all over the world, right now in California Adventure the attraction is closing intermittently to accommodate this and will premiere the new film on June 17th.

Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX are a couple of years away, with the 8th episode planned for a release on December of 2017.

In December of 2016 the first of the Star Wars Rogue movies will be coming out December 16th 2016.

Tokyo DisneySea is adding a new port that will be Scandinavian themed.

Tokyo DisneySea will be transforming the StormRider attraction into a Finding Nemo ride.

They have announced Toy Story 4 will be under work. It will come out June 15th 2018.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will soon be able to enjoy Toy Story Mania even more quickly with additional track that will be added, thus accommodating more guests per hour.  This change will cause the ride to close down and construction will be done and it will be ready early next year in 2016.

This is because of the new Toy Story Land that will be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

ABC series Uncle Buck will be coming out this summer and yes it is related to the John Candy movie of the same title.

Another X-Men movie X-Men Appocalpyse is coming out Memorial day weekend.

What does the future hold for the Walt Disney Company,

Walt Disney would say, “We are just getting started.”

A sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland has been filmed and is in Post Production with Alice in Wonderland: Alice through the Looking Glass that is slated to be released May 27th 2016.

Ant-Man 2 will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp and is slated for July 6th 2018.

The next Avengers movie will be in two parts Avengers: Infiniti War will be released, part 1 May 4th 2018 and part 2 May 3rd 2019.

Disney has announced many details about the brand new live action Beauty and the Beast that will be premiering in 2017.  Along with the return of Alan Menken and Tim Rice, it will have Emma Watson playing Belle, with Dan Stevens playing the Prince/Beast, Luke Evans the role of Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Kevin Kline as Maurice Belle’s father.

Disney is working with Steven Spielberg on a Roald Dhal story BFG that will come out July 1st 2016.

Marvel has plans to create and release an adaptation of Black Panther on February 16th 2018.  Though the character will be making his first appearance in the next Captain America movie.

Production is almost wrapping up for Captain America: Civil War. Release date May 6th 2016.  This one is going to be almost an mini Avengers movie will all of the current Avengers except Hulk, Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy appearing in it.

Captain Marvel will also be getting her own movie to come out March 8th 2019.  Despite what the graphic says below.

ABC is coming out with a new series called The Catch that debuts March 24th 2016.

Pixar is also under development for a brand new Cars, Cars 3. This is scheduled to be released June 16th 2017.

Tokyo Disneyland is adding another hotel entitled the Celebration Hotel that will open this year.

Another animated movie is in the works for Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers.

Pixar is working on another animated movie called Coco that is slated to be released November 22nd 2017.

Daredevil is returning with a second season.

Due to it’s immense popularity, a second Descendants is in the works for Disney Channel.

Disney Springs continues on with finishing it’s transformation that will end this year.

On March 9th 2018, we will be seeing Gigantic a twist on the Jack and the Beanstalk story where Jack befriends an 11 year old female giant.  (Calling her a giantess doesn’t seem appropriate to me).

Marvel Phase 3

When Marvel announced that they would be doing a major film project connected over several different films, they announced it in phases.   Phase 1 opened with Iron Man, continued with Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America The First Avenger finishing with Avengers.  Marvel then discussed Phase 2 which had Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and this summer introduced Guardians of the Galaxy.  Phase 2 will finish with Avengers: Age of Ultron.  After that Phase 3 begins with Ant Man.  It will also feature another movie for Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, and Thor; but will also introduce us to Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and The Inhumans.  It of course begins with Ant Man.  Here is a teaser for the first trailer.
