1961-Television show Flash, the Teenage Otter airs.

1962-Final episode of Bronco airs on ABC.

1963-Final episode of Cheyenne airs on ABC.

1969-Press conference is held in Florida to describe the upcoming Walt Disney World and the film Walt Disney World-Phase I is played for it.


1975-Television series Starsky & Hutch premieres on ABC.


1984-Final episode of That’s Incredible! airs on ABC.

1985-Final episode of MacGruder and Loud airs on ABC.

1989-Disney Legend Guy Williams dies.  He is famous for playing Zorro.


Television special The Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park Grand Opening airs.

1990-Animated short Goofy’s Office Safety Championship is released.

Animated short Goofy’s Plant Safety Championship is released.

1995-Videopolis Show Beauty and the Beast ends at Fantasyland of Disneyland.

2012-Main Street USA attraction and restaurant Plaza Gardens, once the Carnation Plaza Gardens closes in Disneyland.

1983-Film Something Wicked This Way Comes starring Jason Robards and Jonathan Pryce is released.


1989-Disney Channel movie Danny, the Champion of the World airs.

1990-Frontierland store Pendleton Woolen Mills & Dry Goods Store closes in Disneyland it will be replaced by Bonanza Outfitters.

Fantasyland show One Man’s Dream ends its run in Disneyland.

1994-Touchstone film When a Man Loves a Woman starring Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan is released.

All Star Sports the first value resort Disney built opens at Walt Disney World Resort.


1995-Television movie Escape to Witch Mountain based upon the original film airs.

2001-Tomorrowland attraction The Timekeeper closes in Magic Kingdom only to operate seasonally until 2006 when it is finally removed.

2005-Touchstone film Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy starring Mos Def, Martin Freeman, Zoey Deschanel, Sam Rockwell, Bill Nighy, Anna Chancellor and Warwick Davis, and featuring the voice talents of Alan Rickman and Helen Mirren is released.


2011-Film Prom is released.

2014-Actor Bob Hoskins dies.
