Walt Disney Company Project Tracker March 1st 2017

What does the future hold for the Walt Disney Company,

Walt Disney would say, “We are just getting started.”

Ant-Man 2 will be called Ant-Man and the Wasp and is slated for July 6th 2018.

The next Avengers movie will be in two parts Avengers: Infiniti War will no longer be a two part movie, rather it will be Avengers: Infiniti War released May 4th 2018 and as of now an untitled Avengers movie released May 3rd 2019.


In the meantime Marvel has released a simple production trailer.

Disney has announced many details about the brand new live action Beauty and the Beast that will be premiering in 2017.  Along with the return of Alan Menken and Tim Rice, it will have Emma Watson playing Belle, with Dan Stevens playing the Prince/Beast, Luke Evans the role of Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Kevin Kline as Maurice Belle’s father.

Marvel has plans to create and release an adaptation of Black Panther on February 16th 2018.  Though the character will be made his first appearance in Captain America Civil War.  I like this character and am looking forward to seeing more of this character.


Captain Marvel will also be getting her own movie to come out March 8th 2019.  Despite what the graphic says below.


Pixar is also under development for a brand new Cars, Cars 3. This is scheduled to be released June 16th 2017.


Another animated movie is in the works for Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers.

Pixar is working on another animated movie called Coco that is slated to be released November 22nd 2017.

At the last Shareholders Meeting Bog Iger announced that two new ships would be coming to the fleet of Disney Cruise Line in 2021 and 2023. As of yet, they have no official name, so I refer to them as Five & Six.


Due to it’s immense popularity, a second Descendants is in the works for Disney Channel.

The classic 90’s cartoon Ducktales is in production.  This will come to Disney X D.


Disney also has plans for a live action Dumbo.

Construction is nearly done for the Explorer’s Lodge, the third hotel at Hong Kong Disneyland to open this year.  As you can now go on the website and see details.


Gigantic release date has been pushed back.

Marvel is working on a second Guardians of the Galaxy that will be released May 5th 2017, production has already begun.


The Tower Hotel of California Adventure continues it’s transformation into Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.  Opening date is slated for May 27th.

Disney is still working on it’s remake of The Haunted Mansion.


Pixar is working on a sequel to Incredibles, Incredibles 2 is underway and release date has changed for June 15th 2018.


A fifth Indiana Jones will be coming out in 2019.  It reunite Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg. Not much more is known about the story.  We will talk about the next Indiana Jones later, but for now we can only speculate.


A live action version of The Little Mermaid is in the works.

Disney recently announced that they are bringing back for Disney Junior the popular 80’s cartoon Muppet Babies back.  I don’t have kids at all, but I still want to watch that show.

Pandora the World of Avatar is under construction and will open May 27th.

Disneyland is currently working on Star Wars Land Construction, but Disney will be returning the Rivers of America in their shortened state next year, this will include the Disneyland Railroad, Mark Twain Riverboat, Sailing Ship Columbia, Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes and Tom Sawyer’s Island.  Also it will mean the return of Fantasmic.

Star Wars Episode VII The Last Jedi is slated for a December 2017 release this year.


Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX are a couple of years away, with the 8th episode planned for a release on December of 2017.

Disney announced Star Wars land, and people have had an explosion of joy over the new concepts, here is a look at the many new and wonderful concepts coming.  It will be coming in the year 2019.

Tokyo Disneyland is getting a remodel to Fantasyland.



Also announced was a Beauty and the Beast ride.


Not to mention there will also be coming a Big Hero 6 flatland or carnival Type attraction.


Tokyo DisneySea is adding a new port that will be Scandinavian themed.


Tokyo DisneySea is now transforming the StormRider attraction into a Finding Nemo ride.

They have announced Toy Story 4 will be under work. It will come out June 15th 2018.


At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, construction is underway for Toy Story Land that will be coming sometime in the future.
