1940-Goofy cartoon Goofy’s Glider is released.


1974-Buena Vista Club opens at Walt Disney World.

1985-Film One Magic Christmas starring Mary Steenburgen and Harry Dean Stanton is released.


1989-Hotel Walt Disney World Swan opens at Walt Disney World.


1991-Animated film Beauty and the Beast with the voice talents of Paige O’Hara, Robbie Benson, Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers and Angela Lansbury is released.


Disney Channel premiere film Mark Twain and Me airs.

Live action stage show Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage opens at the original Theatre of the Stars on Hollywood Boulevard at Disney-MGM Studios.


1992-Disney Legend Sterling Holloway dies, he is famous for providing the voice for Winnie the Pooh.

1995-First computer animated film ever, and film by Pixar Toy Story featuring the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn and Annie Potts is released.


1996-Touchstone film The War at Home starring Emilio Estevez, Kathy Bates, Martin Sheen and Kimberly Williams is released.

2000-Film 102 Dalmatians starring Glenn Close is released.

Touchstone film directed by M. Knight Shyamalan Unbreakable starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Robin Wright Penn is released.

2001-Hollywood Backlot show The Power of Blast premieres at the Hyperion Theater in California Adventure.

2003-Wonderful World of Disney movie Eloise at Christmas airs.

2006-Touchstone film Deja Vu starring Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Jim Cavezial and Val Kilmer is released.

2009-Tomorrowland attraction Space Mountain reopens after a lengthy featuring the first interactive queue in Magic Kingdom park.


2010-New queue premieres at the Fantasyland attraction The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Magic Kingdom.


2011-Animated short Prep & Landing: Tiny’s Big Adventure is released.

2012-Disney Legend Mel Shaw dies.

2013-Touchstone film Delivery Man is released.
