1887-Disney Legend Oliver Wallace is born.

1961-Tomorrowland attraction Flying Saucers opens in Disneyland, it replaces The World Beneath Us and Aluminum Hall of Fame.


1970-Yippie protest in Disneyland on Tom Sawyer’s Island closes the park so Police can clear the warmongerers out.

1988-Disney Channel premiere film Ollie Hopnoodle’s Haven of Bliss airs.

1993-Touchstone film My Boyfriend’s Back airs.

Final episode of The Golden Palace airs.

1996-Disney Village Marketplace restaurant Rainforest Cafe opens in Downtown Disney.


1999-Hollywood pictures film The Sixth Sense starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment is released.


2002-Direct to Video Movie The Adventures of Tom Thumb & Thumbalina is released.

2003-Film Freaky Friday starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan, Harold Gould, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal, Mark Harmon, Stephen Tobolowsky and Haley Hudson is released.


2004-Disney Channel original movie Tiger Cruise starring Bill Pullman and Hayden Paniterre is released.

2007-Canada pavilion attraction O Canada closes in Epcot’s world Showcase.

2010-Touchstone film Step Up 3D is released.

Phineas and Ferb episode Summer Belongs to You airs.  It is by far one of the more popular episodes of the entire series.
