1963-Film Summer Magic starring Haley Mills and Burl Ives is released.


1971-Disney Legend Ub Iwerks dies.

1976-Film Gus starring Ed Asner and Don Knotts is released.

1989-Pilot for the television series Adventures in Babysitting premieres.

Television special Ernest Goes to Splash Mountain airs on Disney Channel.

1996-Circle Vision film American Journey ends as a Tomorrowland attraction in Disneyland.

2000-Film Disney’s The Kid starring Bruce Willis and Lily Tomlin is released.


Ikpsiari opens at Tokyo Disneyland.


2004-Touchstone film King Arthur starring Clive Owen and Kierra Knightly is released.


2006-Film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightly, Jack Davenport, Bill Nighy, Jonathan Pryce, Lee Arrenberg, Mackenzie Crook, Kevin McNally, Stellan Skarsgard, Tom Hollander, Naomie Harris and Geoffrey Rush is released.


Adventureland attraction Pirates of the Caribbean opens in Magic Kingdom. It features new Jack Sparrow and Hector Barboosa audio animatronics.

2009-ABC Family series 10 Things I Hate About You premieres.

2014-Disney Legend Dick Jones dies.  He is best remembered for being the voice of Pinocchio.

Disney X  D series 7D premieres.
