1950-Disney Legend Howard Ashman is born.

1962-Film Bon Voyage starring Fred MacMurray, Tommy Kirk and Kevin Cocoran is released. bonvoyage

1964-Television special Disneyland Goes to the World’s Fair airs.


1985-Final episode of Me and Mom airs on ABC.

1986-Circle Vision film American Journeys begins its run as a Tomorrowland attraction in Tokyo Disneyland.

1987-Fantasyland store Mickey’s Christmas Chalet closes at Disneyland.

1989-Disney Channel series Just Like Family premieres.

1991-Touchstone film What About Bob? starring Bill Murray, Richard Dreyfus and Julie Hagerty is released.


Port Orleans resort opens in Walt Disney World.


Souvenir and Sundry shop Jackson Square Gifts & Desires opens in Port Orleans, now the Port Orleans French Quarter resort.

Restaurant Bonfamille’s Cafe opens at Port Orleans resort in Walt Disney World.

Restaurant Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory opens in Port Orleans Resort.

1997-Frontierland attraction Mike Fink Keelboats closes at Disneyland.

1998-Wonderful World of Disney movie Miracle at Midnight airs.

2002-Animated short Mike’s New Car is released.


2004-Resort Saratoga Springs opens in Walt Disney World replacing Disney Institute.


2006-Final episode of Invasion airs on ABC.

2012-Disney Junior series Special Agent Oso airs final episode. Final episode of Missing airs on ABC.

2013-Mystic Point opens in Hong Kong Disneyland, it features the ride Mystic Manor, the Archives Shop and Explorer’s Club a restaurant.



2015-Tom Bergeron ends his run on America’s Funniest Home Videos.
