1966-Television series Batman premieres on ABC.

1973-Television special Fifty Happy Years airs.

1981-Television series Dynasty premieres on ABC.


1990-International Gateway opens at EPCOT Center’s World Showcase.  It is another entrance into Epcot, and is sometimes referred to as the Back Gate into the park.


1996-United States Government purchases the Shades of Green, making it a Resort hotel exclusively for Military Personal and Veterans.

1999-Disney Legend Betty Lou Gerson dies.

Television series The PJ’s premieres.

2000-Disney Legend Marc Davis dies.

2001-Touchstone film Double Take is released.

Disney channel original movie Zenon: The Zequel starring Kristen Storms airs.

Downtown Disney District opens up in what will soon be the Disneyland Resort.


Store World of Disney opens in Downtown Disney District.


Arcade, Store and Restaurant ESPN Zone opens in Downtown Disney District.


Downtown Disney District restaurant Rainforest Cafe opens at the soon to be Disneyland Resort.


2006-Hollywood Pictures film Primeval is released.

ABC Sitcom Crumbs airs.

2007-Disney Channel Series Cory in the House premieres.


Disney Channel original movie Jump In! airs.

2010-New Stroller and Wheelchair rental store opens in the Disneyland Resort.

2011-Television series Off the Map premieres on ABC.

2012-Adventureland attraction Enchanted Tiki Room-Under New Management closes at Magic Kingdom.
